Summary:HostMantis migrated the server for my wife’s painting site. They sent me the wrong server settings! And they were not even apologetic about it.Result: Website was down for multiple days. Background In Late October, They moved servers for my shared hosting account in Singapore. This week, while I was away on vacation, wife’s website has one awol. Backups missing, database missing (from account, cPanel defaults to the old server). Sunday morning surprise! Fortunately, yes, backups available. And Mrs is un aware- I did get alerts from Uptime Robot and Hetrix that the site was down, but we were on vacation and I chose not to disclose this to her.
