Introduction: Avoro’s AMD Epyc Processor based KVM
Avoro recently posted their AMD EPYC special offer on LET. This was the same offer they had posted during the
“Palindrome Day” deals thread
Previously I had had considered theie BF offer but decided against it. But for a little over 3 Euros a month, they offered the following:
Specifications of the KVM VPS
AMD EPYC special
1 dedicated CPU core
5 GB DDR4 ECC RAM
50 GB SSD
10 Gbit / s shared
1x IPv4 & 1x IPv6 / 64
2 TB traffic
DDoS Protection
Location: First Colo / Frankfurt am Main
This was a good set of specs for the price and I decided to dive in.A KVM VPS on AMD Epyc Processor, 5 GB RAM, for under 4 US Dollars a month is a good price.
Note that this is a minimum 3 months term contract, and you have to pay in advance. For non-EU residents,at the time of check out, do not pay the invoice, wait till a new invoice (which excludes the VAT) is generated.
Upon ordering, the server took about 6 hours to be provisioned.
Benchmarks
I ran the usual battery of tests : YABS, Bench.sh, nench.sh
The results from Speedtest and YABS are posted below.

Conclusion: Avoro VPS on AMD EPYC Processor
This AMD Epyc based KVM – Virtual Private Server from Avoro looks like a good buy. I am setting it up with Gridpane to create a test website, for further testing. At 3 Euros a month (less than 250 INR at current exchange rate) this one looks like a keeper? Time will tell.
