Podcasts have been my preferred form of audio content for several years. I am writing this post as a personal “Thank You” to the multiple podcasts that I have listened to till date. Many of them have had a great influence on me.

A (nearly) decade long listnership

I have mentioned in episode zero of the Mykitaab podcast that I have been a podcast listener since early 2006.During those days, I used to live in Chicago. During my commute to work, I used to listen to shows like NPR’s Car Talk, Manager Tools Podcast, and CEO Exchange. I moved back to India in 2008, and for nearly 2 years, I was unable to find good podcasts from India. At that time, FM radio and Bollywood music somehow became the default medium of content that I consumed. Between 2010 and 2012, I mainly listened to business related shows. But in late 2012, I came to know about a new podcast by a then unknown person called John Lee Dumas. My interest (eventually love) for podcasts rekindled. Speaking of Kindle, I have been listening to podcasts related to books since 2014. The topics range from how to write, how to get your book published, and how to market the books. Some of the podcasts include The Creative Penn Podcast, The Self Publishing Podcast, Rocking Self Publishing Podcast, Sell More Books Show, and Author Hangout . Most recently, I have also started following the In The Trenches Podcast, Write2Be Read Podcast. Entrepreneur on Fire became a part of my daily staple. Till date, I have left a review for most of the podcasts that I have listed below. This is not to brag that I am a ‘good’ reviewer. I enjoyed the content, received a lot of value, so it is only fair on my part that I leave a feedback. Reviews and ratings are extremely important for potential listeners. They help the listeners decide whether they should consider listening to a podcast or not. As they say, “what goes around, comes around.” I hope that some day, a gracious listener or two will leave feedback for MyKitaab Podcast.I have segmented the below list year-wise. I am not adding the links to all the podcasts- as you may note, they are too many to handle!
