Edit: This post was originally published in 2017 March, and was accompanied with a video. I do recall that the developer of Ubuntu Budgie (David Mohammed) had written to me asking why I thought the distribution was not upto the mark. Since I am unable to find that post anymore, publishing this post as a “backdated” version, with screenshots and some notes taken from that era. I believe the version back then was based on Ubuntu 16.04 or 16.10. Ubuntu Budgie had not yet become an official flavour of Ubuntu back then- as the name would indicate.
